BioPRF is a system used to prepare PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, from the patient’s own blood. A small amount of blood is drawn immediately before the procedure and processed to create a natural fibrin matrix that retains platelets, leukocytes and growth factors involved in healing. We use PRF as biological support for these processes in oral surgery and regenerative procedures.

Unlike systems that centrifuge blood at a fixed angle, BioPRF uses horizontal centrifugation. During centrifugation, the tubes move into a horizontal position, allowing cells to separate more freely according to density, with a more even distribution and less mechanical stress. The result is a preparation with a higher concentration of cells and a more uniform distribution throughout the fibrin matrix.

We chose horizontal centrifugation because the preparation method directly influences the characteristics and quality of the final product, even though this is a step the patient never sees. We also use original BioPRF tubes, which allow us to prepare both solid and liquid forms of PRF and adapt the preparation to the needs of the specific procedure.

We do not use PRF routinely in every procedure, but only when we believe it can provide meaningful support for recovery. When clinically indicated, it is prepared and applied during the same procedure, under sterile conditions and in front of the patient.
