In the All on 4 system the entire dental restoration is supported by four implants, while in the all on 6 six implants are placed, providing more stable support and better distribution of chewing forces.

It is not advisable to place a zirconia All on 4 because four implants are not sufficient support for such a heavy prosthetic construction.

For a zirconia prosthetic restoration at least anAall on 6, meaning six implants, is required.

All on 4 is suitable when making an acrylic prosthetic restoration because this is a much lighter material that can be safely supported by four implants.

The final decision is always made after a detailed analysis of the bone and the individual needs of the patient, in order to achieve a long lasting and functional result.

It is particularly important for patients to know whether a zirconia All on 4 or All on 6 is being made as monolithic crowns or as zirconia layered with ceramic.

Since a prosthetic restoration made entirely of zirconia cannot meet aesthetic requirements to the same extent as a zirconia ceramic prosthetic restoration, it is crucial that patients are informed in advance about which type of prosthetic work will be placed.

The cost of All-on-4 therapy can vary significantly from person to person, as it depends on the actual clinical situation in the mouth, the quantity and quality of bone, and the need for additional surgical procedures. There is no universal price, because no two jaws are identical.


One of the most important factors influencing the cost is the condition of the bone.


In some patients, implants can be placed without additional procedures, while in others, bone reconstruction is required before implant placement. This reconstruction may include:

- bone augmentation with artificial grafting materials (biocompatible substitute materials that stimulate the formation of new natural bone)
- augmentation with the patient’s own bone (harvesting and grafting the patient’s bone to achieve stable jaw reconstruction)
 

Augmentation using the patient’s own bone is a more surgically demanding and complex procedure and extends the duration of therapy, while augmentation with artificial materials is indicated in milder cases of bone loss.


The difference between these procedures directly affects the overall cost of therapy.

In addition, the cost of All-on-4 is influenced by:


- the type and quality of the prosthetic work (acrylic or ceramic All-on-4 construction)
- the need for tooth extractions or alveolar ridge leveling
- the patient’s general health condition 
- the complexity of the surgical phase
 
 
It is important to understand that a lower price does not necessarily mean the same therapy.


If certain surgically indicated phases are skipped or simplified (such as bone reconstruction or ridge leveling), the therapy may be less expensive - but also less stable in the long term.


For this reason, a precise cost can only be determined after a clinical examination and CBCT diagnostics, when an individual treatment plan is created according to the real situation in your mouth.
